What is this interpretation and translation system?
This is a cost-effective wireless FM system designed for live simultaneous interpretation in churches, schools, conferences, presentations and other multilingual events. A human interpreter translates the speaker’s message in real time, and audience members hear the interpretation through individual wireless receivers.
Does the system translate speech automatically?
No. The system requires a live human interpreter who speaks both the source and target languages. It transmits the interpreter’s voice to the listeners but does not include automatic translation or captioning. It can be connected to the Enersound Cloud platform for those functions, but that service is not included with this package.
What is included with the system?
The package includes one T-500-4 four-channel tabletop transmitter with antenna, one MIC-300 professional headband microphone and the selected number of R-100 digital receivers with LCD screens. Packages are available for 5, 10 or 20 listeners.
How does the interpreter monitor feature work?
The integrated interpreter-console function allows the interpreter to receive the original speaker’s audio while delivering the translated message through the microphone. This helps the interpreter hear the source clearly and provide a more accurate real-time interpretation. A compatible connection to the venue’s PA or audio system may be required.
How many listeners can use the system?
The transmitter can broadcast to an unlimited number of compatible Enersound receivers. The system can therefore be expanded by purchasing additional R-100 or R-120 receivers as the audience grows.
Can the system support multiple languages at the same event?
Yes. Up to four languages or groups can operate in the same room when each interpreter uses a separate T-500-4 transmitter and microphone on a different channel. Additional transmitters and microphones are sold separately.
What is the operating range?
The system provides a coverage range of up to approximately 500 feet under suitable conditions. The range can be extended to as much as 1,000 feet with a compatible optional external antenna. Walls, obstructions and local radio-frequency interference may reduce actual coverage.
How many channels are available?
The T-500-4 transmitter offers four selectable channels in the 72–76 MHz FM frequency band. Each included R-100 receiver is programmed to one channel, helping simplify operation for audience members.
Is the system easy to set up?
Yes. The tabletop transmitter is designed for straightforward operation. Connect the interpreter’s microphone and the appropriate source or monitor audio, select the desired channel and distribute receivers programmed to that channel. Each listener can then hear the interpretation through a compatible earphone or headphone.
What warranty and support are included?
The system includes a US-based three-year warranty and free phone support. Warranty coverage applies according to the seller’s and manufacturer’s applicable terms and conditions.
